Heading out

I'm Here we are, Damian airport in the middle of the day. Woke up beside my qin ai de this toning and made some coffee, hopped on a Qing gui ride for  Salian airport with three other friends. The lady went home, we are at the airport. Ready to go, already sweating, unable to admire outside weather.

After finding out our flight is not domestic and not quite international, we are placed in an odd holding cell area segregated from the rest of the airport, I don't know why, maybe just because it is  Singapore? 

Talking to the guys, apparently they heard there are no firewalls in Cambodia and the other countries we are visiting. That will be nice if it is true!

So buddy has taken care of the hostel in Singapore; the English is welcome spoken and very common there. The exchange rate on currency is about that of a CAD sooooo I need to watch spending, hoping for the Visa card venues!

Hoping it won't affect our chances to see the night safari and the fountain of youth.

We leave Singapore just before the system to coming in this week, but then enter Malaysia at the beginning of the storm there :( on Febraury 2nd.

We land in kuala Lumpar and are going to do something? Not sure what exactly :p see the Petronas towers? Ya....we are only there for a short time, because after that we are in thailand. While in Thailand we are meeting with another teacher who is going to the states before hand. We are then looking for elephants and beaches as well as some relaxation :)

We are leaving Thailand on February 13th at which point we head to Cambodia, in that time...all I care about are rocket launchers. After Cambodia, we head to Vietnam which we will fly out of to return to Salian (from Hanoi).

Note: must pick up night eye repair make up for Li before returning, because she is amazing :)

To Li: miss you already qin ai de, enjoy your day with grace and have a great holiday, I'll talk to you when I can, hopefully you enjoy your new year :) thinking of you.

To the family: take care, sorry I did not come home for the holidays but there are only so many crazy people in the world., I'm with two of them, and they want to do one of those things that makes us crazy. 

To Xiamen airlines: please don't crash

To dalian airport: food and coffee access would be great things to have access to!

To me when I land back here on February 27th, welcome home and congratulations, you are now tired and not ready for the next month of school :p

Smoggy day :( could be better but I have been trying to do this for far to long and I currently have the opportunity to do so. Seizing the day. Origin point jinshitan, qinggui to kaifaqu. Stopped in kaifaqu, heading to tong shi tai, it is the first stop of the smaller line that stems from kaifaqu station. When getting off the train in kaifaqu, walk to the railway to your right that has the next station sign pointing in the direction your train came from. Get on train. Get off the train and head down stairs, exit off the same way you entered the train. Once you punch out of the station, exit the right side of the building onto dongbei road, a short distance to your left you will see a curve I to the next street which is______ road, go down that road _____ a short distance ahead you will see a hard to notice bus stop, jump onto bus 4, take it till they kick you off. Five countries, Four Weeks Pt.6 "Koh Phi Phi-Bangkok"

Koh Phi Phi was indeed a beautiful island, right from the moment we stepped off  the boat  till the second we got back on to leave. Again, everyone seems to be asking for a dollar here, a dollar there. It becomes regular yet annoying. The island itself is very small but so incredibly easy to get lost on. Every back alley takes you to the same main bays but how far down the bays you are is the tricky part of figuring out your location. We stayed at a shady looking guesthouse called “Oasis Guesthouse” which was not too expensive but certainly didn’t seem all that secure considering the windows were just glass panes and there seemed to be a gecko or two which were always running around.
