The "Last Night" in Hanoi, Vietnam (2016)

Along with an awesome tale of how we somehow interested these beautiful Japanese girls to come drinking with us back at the hostel we were staying at in Hanoi we also had the opportunity to run a game (instead of being taught it) that we were excited to unveil as a new product to willing bystanders. This game was introduced to us as a variation of Euchre. This became a hit in our circle as it was a lot easier to explain than euchre in a way but was also much more inclusive-this game could have as many people as needed and basically to include more people-you play with more cards (wider range, not more of the same cards). Step one, you will need to track everyone's name on a page in one column and in the column next to that, begin tallying about 10 or however many rounds you will be playing for. This game can be played to points or just to rounds but regardless, it is always a good time, try both ways if you are really enjoying the game. Step two, once all players are accounte

The Convenience of Exporting and Importing Goods

Recently the wife and I took a walk through a shopping mall in downtown Dalian (large city in northeastern China; Liaoning Province). While walking around we came across some small but interesting finds. It was suprising to see coconuts in a VENDING MACHINE in north eastern China; let alone in December/January! To top it off the coconuts had apparently been ordered in from Thailand. 3 CAD/15 CNY a piece. Heh, interesting. Funny how technology has made certain things really accessible to the everyday shoppers all because of the way that we can transport things and the amount of money spent over all to get things from A to B that may be a lot but over all could make a killing.  Part of the reason I ask this question is because I wonder how or what you have seen or found over your journeys, here are some things I found on mine: Imported Wines (Wuhan Mall) Sex Toys(Every other city block in Chinese Cities-not villages;in villages maybe they only have one ) Cigarettes (Jakar

Blast From the Past

Jan 02/2017 Carmelo Bono Dalian, Liaoning    The weekend may have began with hockey but it ended with the great news of a fellow Dragon family (Richard and Lana Hall) whose daughter (Anna Jessie Shey Hall, 8lbs 30oz; 51cm) was brought into the world as a New Years baby. The news was awaited all weekend as the Dragons and their fans were travelling to Anshan for a game and Liaoyang for a game.    Anshan was a trip in itself, (the third largest city in Liaoning) and had a lot to offer that visitors on this trip are eager to discover. Fans and Dragons had done one of the things that not many tourists and travelers have the opportunity to do in Anshan-play hockey. The game was three 20 min periods and was played on a well built river rink. Among the goals scored,  goal tending for the dragons was Lanthier and Andrew Henderson. Jordan Gray (usual goalie) wanted time on the open ice to refine his skills while a fan laced up and hit the ice. Welcoming the potential dragon-Terry "Mad
