First Time-Task 2 (Dalian Ice Dragons, History in the Making)

Task 2- Hey guys if possible, could you fire me your first ever experience with the Dalian Ice Dragons? (BONO) "David Nussbaumer told me he was going to sign up and come play if I signed up-automatically taken back to the high school experience of my best friend and I signing up for Football just cause of a pact…the only difference was back then buddy stuck it out, this time around I found grace and he flaked. That month we played a solid couple weeks and went to Beijing" (MCFARLAND) I'm not sure exactly what year my first run in with the Dalian Ice Dragons was but I know it was in Shenyang (maybe 2012?). The Dragons were a bunch of Canadians coming up from Dalian, and those of us playing for the Shenyang BingYing Hockey team were hoping we would kick their butts! I played on the 2nd line of the Shenyang squad and it was soon apparent that we were outclassed. Dalian had some real good players, a short fast winger named Adrian and #19 their centerman, whose

Tales from Thailand 1 (Feb 2015)

Backpacking on a Budget The trip began a week or so before we arrived in Thailand. We visited Singapore and Malaysia where there was a lot less tourist traps in the open than there are in Thailand. Nonetheless we arrived in Thailand and began the Thai leg of the journey to Phuket (Southwestern Thailand). There were many options for us three travellers as we had never made it to Thailand in previous travels. We found immediately it would be much more beneficial to know where to exchange money beforehand we were going to be flying in late. After arriving we needed to get a cab and we realized that foreign credit/debit cards sometimes malfunction in the machines. At least one of us were able to take out cash. We took about a 40 minute or so cab to Bangla Road from the airport to Patong Beach. We headed to our first Hostel in Phuket known as “ Cool Backpackers ” . Later, (as in after we stepped out of the cab) we found that this was a more seedy and party-like location than most of th

He has written over 100 pieces and is globally known as an adventure writer as well as an unconventional renaissance man. He is currently living in Jinshitan (Dalian), Liaoning. In China, he is teaching English in a BC offshore school. The book itself was renounced by the Dalian Ice Dragons as a unjust writing to the true adventure of the team. On the other hand, it does need to be noted and appreciated that the fans and friends of the team are willing to take the time to support the family of "The Dalian Ice Dragons" in this way. I hope you enjoy the read as much as I did, you can also find a preview copy on google books. The Vow in Dandong-Chinese Wedding

In Dandong I was nervous, shaking like a life, totally not confident about my speaking of the Chinese language, especially not in front of Ge’Men’Er, but I was let to believe I did well-mean’t a lot-but I am already looking forward to our first anniversary where I can tell my beautiful wife again how much she means to me. Love you Babe! 上邪! 上邪! 我欲与君相知, 长命无绝衰。 山无陵, 江水为竭, 冬雷震震, 夏雨雪 , 天地合, 乃敢与君绝! Translation: I want to be your love for ever and ever, Without break or decay. When the hills are all flat, The rivers are all dry. When it thunders in winter, When it snows in summer When heaven and earth mingle, Not till then will I part from you The most interesting part was that I came across this jut trying to learn some Chinese poems and practice my understanding of the language more, maybe a sign..”never stop trying to understand your future wife”
