Updating and Outdated Android Cellphone Device (2015 phone in the year 2019)-Updated 2023
Well, finally, after nearly 10 years, the Samsung Galaxy kicked the bucket, the bluetooth driver seemed to stop functioning as well as the physical phone speakers. Without being willing to spend time on reseting and diagnosing the system to isolate whether it is hardware or software for sure, it seemed bleak, the headphones jack still worked though, however not really being willing to transfer music (aas I predominantly used it as a music playing device), to a device that requires a headphone that plugs into the device physically, I allowed it to pass on into its next stage of existence-recycle.
Ultimately concluding this roller coaster of purpose and functionality, Samsung seems to provide technology that can pass the test of time, Android however, they over complicate their iOS, which is great for developers and "debugging" tools, however there are things that they could learn from Apple Tech still.

This is an old and pretty well outdated piece of technology for the purpose of having a touch pone device. This a locked burner that I rather not waste the money on to unlock. I will be trying to upgrade/update the software, from Android OS 4.2 to 4.4. If you know of an easier route than uninstalling the kernel in the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime, I'm open to ideas. Thanks in advance!
Purpose:
To download VPN to the device, after which being able to download the APK Pure/Google Play Store, then by which being able to also download cores from Retroarch.
Finally, having a makeshift retro arcade for the road.

Tried setting up an 8Bitdo controller to my iOS device to play COD: as its a new obsession-no success as the firmware does not support capabilities. I also found out that the 8BitDo SN series controllers can support switch but you need to update the firmware of the remote via connection to the 8bitdo Updater found on the internet-not included in remote or box contents/let alone manual (wasn't impressed with that).
Here is a link to Mac and Windows updater .zip files (safe link).

Here is a link to connect SN series remote to iOS (untested by myself).
