Cutting it close
When very thing is made so convienent, you really, and I mean really cut things close. The funny thing is that most people would say I'm late for everything. I would agree that normally I imagine thibgs happening faster in my mind and do not account for the X factor depending on the priority of the original plan. Example, original plan is be at point b in 2 hours, I end up 15 minutes or so late because the point B was important to me, so I made the plans to be as quick in and out or to get there as soon as possible. I find out recently that I am doing it all wrong, give cushion for the plans that matter and plan the less important ones closer to the deadline.
Well aside from ranting randomly about my faults, I'm actually bringing this up because of how overwhelmingly convienent and efficient life can be in certain places around the world. When things become a maximum of 40-50 mins when you know 20 of those minutes will be transporting, the rest, well, run baby, run.
I feel like I am becoming more aware of things like this in my own life, took some time to figure it out but now I know, if I'm a Trying to make plans like I am today, I either need to stick to the strict, no socializing timeline I created or give myself a cushion in time.
This is so bad, I know i'm going to be late but I need to make this trip into kaifaqu.
It's funny when people freak out about being late for things, the way I see it is that, no one is perfect and if you are a bit late, bite me, don't worry about it, I have been late, the government is late, life is too short, don't worry. I mean like, seriously, I have seen it really mentally bother people and I just fail to see the worth in wallowing in self-pitty because you undershot your plan by a few minutes.
In china it's really funny because they are either right on time, or late. But if they are late, they are so sorry. If they are late to each other, oh my gosh! I think it's the equivalent of reaction if you told someone you shot their dog!? With the assumption that they love their dog :p
Even flights though, I mean, so efficient, in and out, unlike the bank here -_- oh god, you would think people are taking a loan out on their house or doing a job interview for the amount of bloody time they spend there sitting, and bathrooms, my god! Maybe that's what it is, the people here just take a long time making deposits :p #constipationsucks
Food is a little too convienent here I think, and constipation is not so much the problem as the overly runny number two is, watch what you put in your mouth.
Well, this was another enlightening experience from Jinshitan, Dalian LN China, have a great night folks
