Family Road Trip to Texas: "Stopping by the Waugh St. Bridge in Austin, Texas"

 This is an account from 2012 (approximately), the first time I visited the Waugh street bridge was with my parents on our way to Austin for my a family wedding. Needless to say, the experience was long, but necessary. We drove for about 2 days, and spent about a week in the states overall. We left Canada from the border of Buffalo,  New York. We were travelling with a family car, sedan. nothing breath-taking, but quite relaxing and comfortable for the kind of drive we were doing. Nearly a decade later, my family (now including my wife) returned, only this time we were arriving in Austin to visit my Uncle and Aunt after the birth of their first son (figure 1and 2). This was my wife's first time visitng the United States. First impressions

Well the initial smell of the place here...ugh less than attractive...I'm not in a centre really, it's like living in downtown dunnville, and ya not much here :p the scenery is gorgeous but at the same time there is much obstructions and interference.  Canada is much missed not just by myself but certainly by some of the other new teachers. I know for me, I miss my family, the animals, my friends, linds, and everyone else who made life exactly what I wanted. From what I noticed here, canada offers the most beautiful range of scenery, and a relatively clean and put together city centre usually. The graffiti kind of tales away from the vast prestige of the city now when I think about it and listen to how people compare and talk about travel experiences. It's crazy how much changes after spending sometime away from home and living in an area that you need to interact more so with your surroundings than you do elsewhere, in canada you can mindlessly wander down the street, here...

"东北老虎" Siberian Tigers (2016) Haerbin, China

Where in the world can you see tigers, Siberian tigers, lion tigers (ligers) and even white tigers?! Well, for starters, china and Russia. Yes,! In china, mainly the north, there are Siberian tigers, the thing about these beautiful and endangered species of mammal or big cat, is that they reside in a conservatory park. This is known by expats as the Siberian Tiger Park in Haerbin. The place the live is hot in summer and Thunder Bay sort of cold in the winter, by that I mean, the cold is quite dry to many other places, the feeling is such, you can get warm, and when you are warm you stay warm. Not like here in dalian where the cold is bone deep.  The tiger park lows for amazing pictures, real life experience and the opportunity for people to bond between nations over the fascination of beauty that a certain creature has.  The tours are started in a bus through the park, you feel like you are in Jurassic park and like if the bus dies...well so will you.
