Guangzhou 2023, Life after COVID. (Vietnamese Cuisine, "Tiger Prawn")
Greetings!
If there is nothing else you can think of doing ANYWHERE in China, there is ALWAYS eating. Yes, eating. Consider this time you have here in this hige country that is full of ethnic diversity as a great time to put on some weight with many opportunities to either walk it out or sweat it out!
Today, we are revisiting a culinary experience I had with my family (my toddler son and wife-who is Chinese). We went out to Beijing Lu, although I have been a couple times, I agreed that on this particular weekend I could alright with going back in the company of my family-I wasn't really a big fan of "Beijing Lu", too rich and crowded for me. I certainly prefer a BBQ area, quiet(-ish)..for drunks, maybe a little dirty, or just generally not around so many people who are staring at my son and I/ttaking pictures etc. Not that I'd prefer to take my son to a place like that, but in generalities, I am not one for the whole crowded restuarant scene. I like good food, and subscribe to the idea that a filled restuarant is a good sign, however maybe Tiger Prawn is-too full.
Tiger Prawn is a restuarant with two locations that serve Vietnamese Cuisine. The locations-literally across the road from each and that sounds ridiculous until you see what their original location's spacing is like as well as how backed up their service is. Obviously the worst time to go is when people (all people are scheduling their meals at the same time), go when no one else is going.
For whatever I could say and complain about the service/wait time/atmosphere, I can certainly say the immediate opposite and give great praise to the chefs and food quality.
Some things I'd recommend if you are out that way and find that it is not a ridiculously busy time to go!
A bonus, because I know with a kid, sometimes, a little "TV" time after the meal makes a good time for Mommy and Daddy to get their fill of scrumptious yums! The wifi password is provided below, because yes, it is busy and sometimes having that makes the wait a lot more tolerable.
Enjoy! Check it out and feel free to comment any updates or notable changes made to this establishment!
